Of course, as a travel blogger I enjoy reading other peoples blogs just as much as I enjoy writing my own so I thought that it was probably about time somebody put up a definitive list of the top 5  travel blogs on WordPress. (Aside from twitchyfeet naturally!) So without further ado, in no particular order, here are my top 5 travel blogs on WordPress.

Mortal Coil

An informative blog but the photographs really make this one stand out in my opinion.

Nise En Scene

Another fun and informative blog with a few unrelated articles intespersing the travel writing but again it is the photography that makes this a stand out blog for me.

Sartenada

With big, bold, vibrant images like these who needs to write anything at all! After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. Even the most mundane scenes come to life, as this picture of George Michael’s wardrobe shows.

I don’t really know why I like this picture so much, but I do.

C.D.N. Lee

A fun, blog full of snappily written and enjoyable articles. It is actually being written as a university assignment to research the blogosphere but it has become an excellent blog in its own right. Worth a look.

Domestiphobia

My name is Katie, and I’m a domestiphobic.

I didn’t know it when I married my wonderful husband in 2006 at the ripe age of 23.  But, for reasons I didn’t yet understand, I slowly began to feel a terrifying sense of suffocation as all of the “expected” pieces of a “normal,” domestic life began falling into place.

Stable office career?  Check.

Fixer-upper in the ‘burbs? Check.

Couple of mutts?  Check.

Kids?  Now wait just one damn minute.

These were the things I was supposed to be doing, but did I really want them at all?

This blog is great fun and written with a humorous style that has me chuckling every time I read it, well worth a look.
